Mickey Bushell Gold Standard Academy

The athletics club division of the Mickey Bushell Gold Standard Academy came into fruition in the Summer of 2023, due in part to the lack of available coaching for wheelchair athletes within the Telford and Shropshire area. In January 2024 the club was officially recognised and registered with England Athletics.

Having had a long and successful career as an elite wheelchair racer, Mickey is now in a position to be able to give back to the wheelchair community and allow others the opportunities that he was granted within the sporting world.
